The MBL supports a research diving program with an AAUS - compliant diving safety curriculum and a dive support facility.

Diving opportunities at the MBL include diver/collectors for the Aquatic Resources Division as well as research diving for such facilities as the Ecosystems Center or the Boston University Marine Program.
