MBL Visiting Research Forms and Information

Visiting Research Application - Completion of this form is required of all members of the Marine Biological laboratory research community. The deadline for applications is December 15, annually. Decisions are usually made by early February. Any questions about the registration process, or about visiting lab space should be directed to the Office of the Chief Academic & Scientific Officer; CASOoffice@mbl.edu or 508-289-7173.

Departmental Visitor Research Application – Completion of this form is required for all visitors and guests hosted by a resident research program or MBL administrative department.  This includes: Bay Paul Center, BioCurrents Research Center, Cellular Dynamics Program, Ecosystems Center, Encyclopedia of Life, Eugene Bell Center for Regenerative Biology & Tissue Engineering, Financial Services, Human Resources, Marine Resources Center, MBLWHOI Library, and the National Xenopus Center. Please contact your host if you have any questions.

Biosafety Committee Forms - The MBL's Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) reviews MBL research that involves recombinant DNA or other hazardous materials requiring safety or biosafety precautions.

IACUC Forms - All research involving the use of vertebrate animals must have a protocol approved by the MBL Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) before the research can begin.

Seawater Tank Space Application - If your research requires access and use of seawater and seawater tanks, fill out this form.

Zebrafish Request Form - If your research requires zebrafish, fill out this form.

Lab Fees - This is a description and list of fees associated with visiting research. Please read carefully and budget accordingly.
