Gifts and Grants 01/01/2006 to 03/24/06


The Pfizer Foundation renewed its support for the workshop Living in the Microbial World in the amount of $52,912. The workshop will be held August 3 to 8, 2006.

Howard Hughes Medical Institute has provided $20,000 in support of the 2006 Science Journalism Program.

The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has provided $10,000 in support of the 2006 Science Journalism Program.

The Department of Defense made the following awards:

• Year 2 $359,009 to Roger Hanlon, Alan Kuzirian, for “Biological Approaches to Sensing Visual Scenes” (subawarding institution - Battelle Columbus Operations)
