This meeting covers all aspects of parasite molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, genetics and genomics, focusing on protozoan parasites. Presentations (talks and posters) by graduate students and post-docs are strongly encouraged.
REGISTRATION AND ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:
Registration/Payment w/ Abstract Deadline: June 25, 2008
PLEASE NOTE that there has been an administrative change to the registration process. This year payment will be required at the time of registration, and you must register before submission of abstracts. In addition, all applications will be accepted at the time of registration and an electronic ‘certificate of acceptance’ will be generated at that time. The meeting will be capped at a maximum of 480 and participants will be accepted in the order of registration. SO PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY!
Similar to last year, all registration, payment and abstract submissions must be conducted on-line. The registration process has been designed to help the meeting organizers keep track of registrations, abstracts, and payments, to facilitate production of the printed abstract book, and to allow users continued access to their registration information and abstract submissions up until the registration deadline. If you do not have a credit card, you must coordinate registration with a colleague whom you can reimburse by cash or check (e.g., the head of your lab). In exceptional circumstances where credit card registration is impossible, please contact
at MBL
Note: If you require an official "Certificate of Acceptance" in order to get local funding from your institution please contact Judith Taylor at
. This step must be taken first as registration submittal will not be accepted without payment at time of registration.
Step 1 - Payment/Registration:
Please follow the link to proceed to secure payment/housing registration form (this must be done before continuing to MPM program book registration.)
Step 2 - MPM Program book registration:
Please follow the link to proceed to MPM program book registration (if you are attending or submitting an abstract you MUST register for inclusion in the program book.)
Each person attending the conference must register separately. Please do NOT give your password to anyone else, and do not use anyone else's password, as this could result in the accidental alteration or deletion of your abstract and registration information!
After this portion of the registration process is finished you are free to log back in as needed. You do not need to submit an abstract when you first register, as you will be able to log back in to the site to access all of your information and make changes as needed, including submitting and/or updating the abstract. However, all abstracts must be submitted (and any final changes made) before the June 25, 2008 abstract submission deadline.

FURTHER INFORMATION
All accepted abstracts will be presented either orally or in poster format, with speakers to be chosen on the basis of submitted abstracts. It is expected that the individual submitting an abstract will personally present the poster or talk. For reasons of time and space, we can consider only one abstract per person.
In accordance with tradition, those individuals scheduled to speak on the first day will be informed in advance, but no other detailed scheduling information will be released prior to the meeting. A list of abstract titles and authors will be available at this web site approximately one week prior to the start of meeting (by submitting an abstract, you are agreeing to the publication of the abstract title and author list on the MPM web site).
If you require accommodations for either Saturday or Thursday night (in the MBL housing), these must be reserved and paid in advance by contacting Judith Taylor at MBL. Availability of these rooms may be limited and an additional fee of $46.00/day for early arrival and/or late departure will be charged prior to arrival. This fee does not include meals.
