Coastal Explorers June - August: Coastal Explorers Seashore Science Course
Join our experienced Montessori educators for a two-day seashore adventure at the renowned Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole this summer. Children ages 4, 5, and 6 are invited to learn about native species of fish and invertebrates at the Woods Hole Science Aquarium and MBL Marine Resources Center, and participate in related hands-on art projects and musical activities Sea Urchins will focus on invertebrate life at the seashore, including sea stars, mollusks, and crustaceans. Bluefish will focus on marine vertebrate life, including fish, whales, and coastal birds. Click here for Coastal Explorer dates and application.

Independence Day Parade - The Parade will begin near The Woods Hole School and will end at the Waterfront Park where the MBL Club will serve free watermelon and refreshments to the public.

Spirit Family Reunion July 5, 7:00 PM:
Spirit Family Reunion, Folk Band - A long time summer resident, Maggie Carson and her band, Spirit Family Reunion will perform at the Club immediately following folksinging at 8:30 PM. With a backcountry folk sound, banjos, guitars, harmonicas, and harmonies work together to create a refreshing sound reminiscent of the way-old days. Members, Free. Guests, $5

shirts July 6, 7:00 PM:
Fish Stories and T-Shirt Printing - Learn interesting facts and stories about fish and then use them to decorate a T-shirt! Please bring your own T-shirt. Members, free. Guests, $5.

Uncle Moe July 13, 7:00 PM:
Uncle Moe Show - Uncle Moe is New England’s own rock’n’roll band for kids and families! Shows are attended by kids 2 years old all the way up to folks 80 years and beyond. Moms and Dads dance with their kids and even grandparents get up for the Hokey Pokey, because as the song says, that’s what it’s all about. From Johnny Cash inspired country and folk music to the golden oldies of the fifties. From reggae to rock-n-roll and all things in between, Uncle Moe has something for everyone. Members, Free. Guests, Adults $8. Children $5.

Magic Show with Christopher Bolter - Christopher Bolter is returning this summer to perform his hysterical Magic and Mind Reading Show. Bolter has been a professional magician and entertainer for over 15 years and promises and action-packed and incredible show! Members, Free. Guests: Adults $8, Children $5.

Jackson Gillman July 27, 7:00 PM:
“Once Upon a Tide - Sea Songs and Stories” with Jackson Gillman - Join Jackson Gillman for a rollicking mix of song, movement, and story that is guaranteed to delight, educate and enchant all ages. Jackson magically transforms himself into a wide variety of characters through his many talents of mime, actor, songsmith, and storyteller. Marla Isaac August 3, 7:00 PM:
Birds of Prey-Raptor Show - Join Marla Isaac, of New England Reptile and Raptor for a birds of prey exhibit. Marla will illustrate the lives of these "aerial hunters" through a discussion of the natural history, biology, adaptations, habitats, poaching, falconry and the management of these animals in the wild and how the laws and regulations protect them. Birds included in this exhibit will be a Turkey vulture, Red tailed hawk, Red shouldered hawk, Osprey, Barn owl, Barred owl, Falcon and Great horn owl.
